The installation entitled Once the Dogs Stop Barking discusses the theme of soundscapes and their intermingling at a single point. At this point, they compose a new imaginative soundscape. This new space, saturated with various noises and sounds, seeks to evoke new feelings/memories in the visitor related to the Advent season and to deconstruct the common perception of the holidays. This circular eight-channel sound installation uses field recordings of environmental sound, found sources, studio productions as well as generated sound passages. Thanks to an audio program, all these sound sources can be heard at the right time from the right place (one of the masts) and generate a precise sound space at a given moment. The title is derived from the author‘s subjective memories of the village community loudspeaker and its combination with the barking of dogs.
